badform: (You call that a favor?!)

[The comm clicks on and for several beats, there's a rhythmic tap, tap, tapping. Then a distinguished voice talks over the noise.]

There must be divine forces at work, to have saved me from the jaws of that beast. Though now, I wonder if the very same divine forces that plucked me from the crocodile's stomach, were the ones stupid enough to place me on the wrong ship!

[Another pause, the tapping continues.]

As delighted as I am to be alive, I would be even more so if I were returned to my proper ship. And where the devil is my HOOK!?

[The comm is silenced abruptly, as the tapping has taken a rather violent turn and though the hook has done the comm no harm, its owner has managed to kill the transmission.]

Ironic.

Yer title doesn't mean much here.

I hardly expect it to. None of my crew are here.

[Which also means he'll have to get in and out of that dang harness alone. A sigh.]

[It can be taught.]

Enjoy your stay, Jimmy.

Don't call me that. James or Hook will do.

And Torn. Perhaps we'll meet.

Tell me, Torn, what do you know of this Golden Shore. I've not heard of the place.

No one has. Where it is, what it is--those are closely guarded secrets of the crew. You'll learn they've got a lotta those.

What a pity.

[He's about to call for Smee. But oh yeah, Smee's not here.]

Permit me but one more question and I will leave you be. Who is the captain of this vessel?

[identity profile] sandpaperbreath.livejournal.com 2010-02-27 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Captain James Redd.

[That 'James' thing is kinda a fun coincidence, too.

Torn's decided against warning of his lunacy or his god-like powers. After all, he just asked his name.

[Hook's already fiddling with the comm. He'll learn on his own.]

You have my thanks. Good day to you, Torn.
